thank you for your feedback. You are right and we fully understand that any downtime can be disruptive.
Updates performed were standard Windows security updates which are automatically scheduled by Microsoft on monthly basis. We always aim to apply them during low-traffic hours to minimize any impact.
However in recent months we have observed that when these updates include changes to ASP.NET, some applications may not start correctly on first attempt after update. While update process itself only takes few minutes, in some cases application may require manual restart to fully recover which can extend downtime.
We are actively working on improvements in this area including better monitoring and automated recovery mechanisms to minimize or prevent these situations in future.
