Loss the connection with remote database

when i take connection string and put in appsetting.json in asp.net application and try to apply the migration on remote database i get :
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

please change server address in your connection string from:
Server=dbXXXX.databaseasp.net
to
Server=dbXXXX.public.databaseasp.net

and then connection with you MSSQL database should work correctly. Server address without public works only for applications running on our hosting servers. Server address with public is needed when application run on your local computer or Visual Studio.

Im having same issue as him im using this connection string "Server=dbXXXX.public.databaseasp.net; Database=dbXXXX.databaseasp.net; User Id=dbXXXX.databaseasp.net; Password=******; Encrypt=True; TrustServerCertificate=True; MultipleActiveResultSets=True;"
i tried for both User ID and Database to be 'dbXXXX' still didnt work.

to connect to database remotely from your computer, you must first activate remote access:
https://help.monsterasp.net/books/databases/page/remote-access-for-database
only then can be used Public connection string.

If you still have this problem, please open Support ticket in Control Panel with your specific case.
